Fishing Report July 6, 2012

Fisherman are reporting excellent catches of rockfish chumming with razor clam chum and bunker. Trolling 2, 4 and 6 ounce tandem rigs has proven productive in a number of areas more normally associated with chumming during the summer. Bill and his fishing buddy reported 4 keeper rockfish at the Bay Bridge jigging live eel last Tuesday evening. There have been a number of good reports on rockfish caught on live eel in the deeper holes around Poole's Island. Several customers reported good catches of rockfish trolling #17 Tony Acetta spoons near Tolchester and along the Eastern side of the channel south to the mouth of the Chester.
